The ACT Child and Youth Mental Health Sector Alliance acknowledges the
Ngunnawal people as the Traditional Owners and continuing Custodians of
the lands of the ACT. We pay our respects to the Elders, families and
ancestors, and extend our gratitude for their ongoing contributions to
the ACT community.
The voices of children and young people with lived experience of mental
health issues and caring, families and kinship groups, are vitally
important to our work. The Alliance acknowledges the expertise acquired
through living with mental health concerns, trauma, neurodiversity and
caring for people on their recovery journeys. We place lived experience
at the heart of all we do, and value co-design and co-production.
The Alliance strongly supports equality for all. We embrace diversity
and condemn any kind of discrimination, be it on the basis of race,
religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
